In these three CDs you will first and foremost learn about the four dogmas of Mary. These four dogmas are infallible proclamations by the Church that define the Church\u2019s understanding of Mary. They are as follows:<\/p>\n

1 \u2013Mary Mother of God defined at the Council of Ephesus in 431<\/p>\n

2 \u2013 Immaculate Conception of Mary proclaimed by Pope Pius IX in 1854<\/p>\n

3 \u2013 Assumption of Mary into Heaven proclaimed by Pope Pius X in 1950<\/p>\n

4 \u2013 The Perpetual Virginity of Mary in place since the 3rd<\/sup> century<\/p>\n

In addition to these four established dogmas time is spent discussing a potential fifth dogma. Much work has been done and there is much support for this fifth dogma which would name Mary as Co-redemptrix, Mediatrix and Advocate. Dr. Miravalle has been an active participant in the efforts of research and promotion of this fifth dogma so it was especially interesting hearing he and Scott discuss the progress being made.<\/p>\n
