\u201cThe family is not just the object of the attention of the Church,\u201d Archbishop Diarmuid Martin told journalists at a Vatican press briefing Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Rather, he said, families have a \u201cvital role\u201d as \u201creal protagonists of renewal and of the transmission of the faith to the coming generations.\u201d<\/p>\n
