Chicago, Ill., Oct 26, 2012 \/ 05:06 pm (CNA\/EWTN News<\/a>).- A nonpartisan political analyst says Obama\u2019s new ad featuring a young woman describing her \u201cfirst time\u201d voting for the president in terms similar to losing her virginity is \u201cnothing short of demeaning\u00a0 and sexist\u201d towards women.<\/p>\n

\t\u201cAs a woman, I am horribly offended by this ad,\u201d Kara Mone of CatholicVote.org told CNA Oct. 26.<\/p>\n

\tIn the ad, 26 year-old actress and writer Lena Dunham, tells the camera that, \u201cYour first time shouldn\u2019t be with just anybody. You want to do it with a great guy \u2013 someone who really cares about and understands women.\u201d<\/p>\n

\t\u201cA guy who cares about whether or not you get health insurance, specifically whether you get birth control,\u201d Dunham added.<\/p>\n

\tThe political advertisement, featuring Dunham likening her \u201cfirst time\u201d voting for President Obama to her first sexual encounter has received just over 275,000 views on YouTube, with nearly 9,000 \u201cdislikes\u201d and roughly 6,600 \u201clikes.\u201d<\/p>\n

\tMone said the ad is \u201canti-woman\u201d because it sends the message that female voters are essentially \u201creducible\u201d to their reproductive organs.<\/p>\n

\t\u00a0\u201cMr. Obama has constantly reminded young women during this campaign that all we need to be concerned with is sex, birth control and abortion on demand,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\tDunham closes the video saying, \u201cMy first time voting was amazing. It was this line in the sand. Before I was a girl, now I was a woman.\u201d<\/p>\n

\tThe ad, which has only been released online, has received mixed reviews in the video\u2019s comments section, with some calling it \u201cclever\u201d and others referring to the ad as \u201ccreepy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\tMone said that for Dunham \u201cto suggest that voting for Obama is what made her a woman\u201d is \u201ca slap in the face to women,\u201d especially those who \u201chave worked hard to become what they are today through hard work, dedication and sacrifice.\u201d<\/p>\n

\tThe Obama for America campaign did not respond to requests for comment from CNA by publication time.<\/p>\n
