But after meeting Pope Francis on Sept. 9 during his trip to the Colombia, she gave up her intention to end her life.<\/p>\n

The woman, who suffers from toxoplasmosis \u2013 a very serious infection that affects the brain \u2013 has undergone 87 surgeries. Speaking to CNN en Espa\u00f1ol she told how she met Pope Francis at the Apostolic Nuntiature in Bogota.<\/p>\n
