Vatican City, Dec 8, 2014 \/ 10:48 am (CNA\/EWTN News<\/a>).- In his Angelus address for the feast of the Immaculate Conception on Monday, Pope Francis said because everything we have received is \u201ca gift freely given by God,\u201d we too must \u201cbecome a gift for others.\u201d<\/p>\n

\t\u201cThe message of today's feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary,\u201d the Pope said at St. Peter's Square, can be summarized as follows: \u201cEverything is a gift freely given by God, everything is grace,\u201d and everything is given because \u201cof his love for us.\u201d<\/p>\n

\tThe feast of the Immaculate Conception, commemorated annually on Dec. 8, is the day in which the Church celebrates Mary having been conceived without original sin.<\/p>\n

\tPope Francis reflected on the Gospel account of the Annunciation, during which Gabriel declares Mary to be \u201cfull of grace.\u201d<\/p>\n
