Richard Dawkins is no stranger to controversy: the outspoken atheist\u2019s criticism of religion has ruffled many a theist\u2019s feathers. However, his latest controversial statements don\u2019t concern religion, but rather, the \u201cmild pedophilia\u201d he experienced as a schoolchild<\/a>. Dawkins claims he experienced no \u201clasting harm\u201d from the experience. Also, he can\u2019t condemn the abuse because \u201cyou can\u2019t condemn people of an earlier era by the standards of ours.\u201d Dawkins has since been criticized by various advocacy groups, as well as atheist blogger PZ Meyers, who called Dawkins\u2019 statements a \u201cdisaster\u201d<\/a> and chided him for \u201cswapping the moral high ground for a swampy mire of ambiguity.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
