Here are five Hollywood stars you might not know are Christian<\/p>\n

Pauley Perrette<\/span><\/h2>\n

Pauley Perrette is an American actress, best known for playing Abby Sciuto on the highly popular television series, NCIS. Even fans of the show may not realize that Pauley Perrette is a Christian. This young actress was born in New Orleans, but raised all over the southern U.S. Miss Perrette is one of the main stars in NCIS, playing the role of a scientist, and the fact is, she actually did study criminal justice, and at one time wanted to work for the FBI, however she says that God\u2019s hand has been on her life since she was very young. You might not see it on the show, but she has Romans 12:21 tattooed on her finger, which says \u201cDon\u2019t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alice Cooper<\/span><\/h2>\n

Alice Cooper was a mega-rock star in the 1970\u2019s into the early 80\u2019s, who was elected to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011. He\u2019s also appeared in several movies (e.g. Wayne\u2019s World), so you might think Alice Cooper would be one of the last people to be born again, but you\u2019d be wrong. Cooper admits he was one of the \u201cnotorious\u201d PK\u2019s (Preacher\u2019s kids), as his father was a pastor and evangelist for quarter of a century, and his grandfather was a pastor for 75 years, so he was exposed to the gospel for many years, but it wasn\u2019t until Cooper tried to get rid of his dangerous drug and alcohol addiction that was going to kill him, that he returned to his Christian roots, and that\u2019s where he got the help he needed. His ultimate help came from God when He realized that God wasn\u2019t going to give up on him.<\/p>\n

\"If-you-confess-with-your<\/a><\/p>\n

Steve McQueen<\/span><\/h2>\n

Steve McQueen was a famous American actor and was known as \u201cThe King of Cool\u201d because of his persona which played out well in the roles that he played in the movies. McQueen was one of the highest paid actors as well as the top box-office attractions in the 1960s and 70s, but in his youth, this would have been one of the last things you would have expected him to achieve. During his troubled youth he spent time in reform schools and even into adulthood, battled drug abuse and was a heavy cocaine user but also abused alcohol. His life was cut short at the relatively young age of 50, but as reported in McQueen\u2019s third wife\u2019s book, Barbara Minty McQueen\u2019s \u201cSteve McQueen: The Last Mile\u201d she says that McQueen became an evangelical Christian near the end of his life, being influenced by his flight instructor Sammy Mason who invited him to church one day and where he met evangelist Billy Graham, so just before he died of mesothelioma, he put his faith in God. The timing of his trusting in Christ was providential because he died shortly after this.<\/p>\n

Gary Busey<\/span><\/h2>\n

Gary Busey is an American actor who has appeared in over 150 movies and dozens of television shows but actually began his career as a drummer for \u201cThe Rubber Band\u201d but also appeared several times with musician and singer-songwriter Leon Russell. Later in life, he made his first major motion picture appearance in the 1974 movie \u201cThunderbolt and Lightfoot\u201d which starred Clint Eastwood and Jeff Bridges. After a motorcycle accident and a nearly fatal cocaine overdose in 1995, Busey made a public profession of his faith in Christ where he said \u201cI am proud to tell Hollywood I am a Christian. For the first time I am now free to be myself\u201d and since that time, has supported conservative Christian values by showing support for candidates who reflect Christian values. [1]<\/p>\n

Jeff Foxworthy<\/span><\/h2>\n

Jeff Foxworthy is a standup comedian, actor, television gameshow host, radio personality, and even an author, who is staunchly Christian and unashamedly professes it. He became well known for his \u201cBlue Collar Comedy Tour\u201d which featured Larry the Cable Guy, Bill Engvall, and Ron White and became very well known for his Red Neck one-liners. For three seasons, he was the host of the Game Show Networks \u201cThe American Bible Challenge\u201d where contestants answered Bible trivia questions. He uses the Bible as his guide in life and feels that it\u2019s important that he lives out his faith, so he began a Bible study for homeless men on Tuesday mornings, and has done this for several years, but what started with a small group of 15, eventually grew to over 100 homeless men, showing that he put feet to his faith.<\/p>\n

Conclusion<\/span><\/h2>\n

There are many other Hollywood stars who profess their Christian faith but the list is too long to cover in one article, and many of these men and women do not hesitate to show their faith in God by word, by deeds, and in their lifestyles. Their faith has had a profound effect on many of their fans but also those in Hollywood. They were not afraid to express the Apostle Paul\u2019s definition of faith in God, where they believe that \u201cif you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved\u201d<\/em> (Rom 10:9), and where they profess that it is \u201cwith the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved\u201d<\/em> (Rom 10:10), because \u201cthe Scripture says, \u201cEveryone who believes in him will not be put to shame\u201d<\/em> (Rom 10:11).<\/p>\n
