Federal politicians don\u2019t understand the average American citizen. Most of the time they manage to hide their ignorance, but sometimes they can\u2019t help but show how tone-deaf they really are.<\/p>\n

First up, a\u00a0Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee ad that accuses a GOP candidate of raising taxes and energy costs.\u00a0The Dems probably should have looked in the mirror before running this spot.<\/p>\n

<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Next, Sen. Elizabeth Warren claims that President Donald Trump\u2019s 2016 election win was a sign of an unhealthy democracy because he didn\u2019t win the popular vote.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/yZJXDlvDBVY\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>If we lived in a democracy, she\u2019s right, that would be a problem. Unfortunately for Warren, the United States isn\u2019t a democracy \u2014 it\u2019s a constitutional republic.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, Sen. Cory Booker claims that he tries to understand \u201cother folks\u201d by reading books like Hillbilly Elegy and traveling to midwestern, southern, and western states.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/KGxJB9n-lRM\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Sorry, Sen. Booker. If you want to connect with everyday Americans, you probably shouldn\u2019t talk about them like they\u2019re animals in a zoo.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s time to take power away from these D.C. swamp monsters and return it to the states and the people. The states and the people best understand how to solve the problems facing their local communities. Far-away politicians and bureaucrats clearly have no idea what everyday Americans are thinking and feeling, which is why they so often make such terrible decisions.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s why we need to call the first-ever Article V Convention of States. A Convention of States can propose constitutional amendments that restore the balance of power between the states and the feds and ensure that our clueless D.C. \u201crepresentatives\u201d can\u2019t wreck our country any more than they already have.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Image Credit:\u00a0By A.
