\n
\nF<\/span>or over 15 years, the #ILMfoundation<\/em> is<\/span> a provider of<\/span> socialpreneurial programs. Established in 1998<\/span><\/span> for the Greater<\/span> Los Angeles urban community. Founder Imam Saadiq Saafir has groomed and shared his vision with young men to become Social Preneurs.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
\n
\nThe mission of this<\/span> faith-based organization is, \u201cTeaching Life Skills<\/em>, to Replace Social Ills.<\/em>\u201c<\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> Where they facilitate social <\/span>service programs for youth sports mentoring, direct <\/span>service in the Skid Row Community, and an after-school education <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>program for middle school students, plus more<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>

\nThe #ILMfoundation internalizes Islamic text studies<\/span>, seeking social justice strategies and then convert the concept into educational events. For the last 13 years their work has\u2026 transformed the way direct service i<\/span>s <\/span>provided by the Muslim community<\/span><\/span><\/span>, developed new leaders, and created social activity for volunteer activism.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

\nA recent<\/span> research paper<\/span> by Harvard University professors,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> Samuel Kelley and Tim Glynn-Burke<\/span><\/em>, coins the work of 16 year old <\/span>#ILMfoundation as Social Innovation<\/a><\/em> \u2026<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
