A slice of life from when my sons were eleven years younger than they are now.<\/i><\/p>\n
We are raising very polite children, apparently. Yesterday David and James were playing with David\u2019s Star Wars Lego toys, and in between such comments as \u201cWe are evil<\/i>!\u201d (said in a low, gutteral voice), \u201cI put the girl in the dungeon with the ogre.\u201d and \u201cWhere is the girl?\u201d \u201cThe girl is in the box.\u201d were occasional statements like, \u201cThank you, Darth Vader,\u201d and \u201cThat was very nice of you, Darth Vader,\u201d (invariably said in a polite, sincere tone).<\/p>\n
I suppose that if my two boys are feeding imaginary girls to imaginary ogres while pretending to be Darth Vader, I can at least be glad that they are polite while they do it.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
