A fine reflection from Michael Brendan Dougherty<\/a>.<\/p>\nI\u2019ve attended a couple Latin Masses. \u00a0I must admit, there is a beauty there I\u2019ve not experienced in any other form of Christian expression. \u00a0The Orthodox church my wife attends has a liturgical richness, but also a foreign feeling that\u2019s tough for me to overcome.<\/p>\n
But despite the fact that I only have a passing knowledge of Latin, the experiences were familiar and yet otherworldly. \u00a0I think it\u2019s more than just Latin yes or no. \u00a0It speaks to how the Church could have continued dealing with the challenges of the modern world, and how it chose to do so.<\/p>\n
