So an actress named Stacey Dish has suggested we end all of this basing things on the color of people\u2019s skins<\/a>.\u00a0 Heck, maybe ditch Black History Month while we\u2019re at it.\u00a0 I\u2019m fine with that. It\u2019s not really Black \u201cHistory\u201d.\u00a0 It\u2019s a celebration of awesome black people.\u00a0 History, as we are told when we ask why the overwhelming focus on American history is so negative, is supposed to be both good and bad.\u00a0 Well, with Black History Month, when was the last time anything bad about Blacks, Black history, Black culture, or Black anything was mentioned?\u00a0 <\/p>\nOf course she is right.\u00a0 Perhaps Black History Month played an important part in the day, but it\u2019s well past its sell-by date.\u00a0 And as for the sad spectacle that continues as we only care about the color of people\u2019s skin, I say it is time to stop the focus and just look at people as people.\u00a0 So she\u2019s right.\u00a0 And just as obviously, she is being ripped apart since, in our society, the last thing we want is people who speak to the obvious in an obvious way. <\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
