The news just came that little Charlie Gard has died<\/a>. \u00a0It was inevitable, as it is for us all. \u00a0It sparked a much greater debate that will, in its time, need to be addressed. \u00a0At what point do parents have their right to make decisions for their children, up to and including fighting for their children\u2019s lives, taken from them by the State? \u00a0That is no small question.<\/p>\nBut for now we set that question aside and send our thoughts and prayers to his courageous parents. \u00a0His suffering is over, and we believers hold faith that he is now before the Author of every good and perfect gift, even when such gifts seem woefully absent on our side of the veil. \u00a0We pray for peace and strength in\u00a0the upcoming months and years for all his loved ones. \u00a0And we pray for Charlie.<\/p>\n
Eternal\u00a0rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let the perpetual light shine upon him.<\/p>\n
