Or so said the graffiti in the French Quarter<\/a>. \u00a0 At least they just wrote it and didn\u2019t take it upon themselves to do it<\/a>. \u00a0Eh. \u00a0Trump was, in his broken clock impersonation, right. \u00a0Where does it stop? \u00a0 Already, another school has begun a petition to change the name from its racist slave owner<\/a>. \u00a0Washington? \u00a0Jefferson? \u00a0Lincoln? \u00a0Kennedy? \u00a0King? \u00a0Indeed, where does it stop?<\/p>\n

This sort of thing isn\u2019t new. \u00a0People have been destroying references to civilizations they renounce or hate for ages. \u00a0But it\u2019s picking up steam and not showing any slowdown. \u00a0I\u2019m sure the strange Joan of Arc incident was a radical, some prankster, someone just doing it, whatever. \u00a0Problem? \u00a0 When I was a kiddo, you\u2019d have thought someone wanting to remove James Madison\u2019s name from a school or Robert E. Lee\u2019s statue would be just as loony, some extremist, rabble-rouser, or someone similar. \u00a0Now look.<\/p>\n
