I don\u2019t know about that<\/a>. \u00a0Certainly an argument, a powerful, non-post-modern argument, a strong non-liberal argument, can be made that pro-gun rights is pro-life. \u00a0And certainly being against gun rights and gun ownership or guns in general doesn\u2019t make one pro-life either. \u00a0Still, here\u2019s the argument. \u00a0It is good because it reminds us that school shootings and mass killings in the work place are not things that have plagued mankind from the beginning, or even most of the 20th Century. \u00a0They\u2019re relatively recent historically speaking. \u00a0It also reminds me of how my Mom used to keep a sawed-off 12 gauge shotgun in her bedroom when Dad was away on the road. \u00a0She told us to leave it alone. \u00a0And we did. \u00a0Because we had been taught what guns are, and what they aren\u2019t. \u00a0So looking at things like what sort of a society or world we\u2019ve made might be the better approach to solving the problem, rather than just yelling \u2018guns! Guns!
