Fact is, I have no clue what will happen if the climate keeps changing. \u00a0Each time there is a record, they rush around saying it\u2019s the end of the world. \u00a0Even if the records may be old news if seen on any given day in the previous million years or so. \u00a0This time we\u2019re told it\u2019s the end of the world. \u00a0Like my boys asked, why is it we\u2019re so sure the earth warming has to be bad? \u00a0After all, we\u2019ve always been told that the world warming up was good for crops and increasing agriculture in the past. \u00a0So why do we insist it is the doom of the age now?<\/p>\n

For that matter, why is everything in the scientific world about how we\u2019re about to die? \u00a0 And only by billions of dollars of grant money can humanity be saved! \u00a0I don\u2019t know. \u00a0But when I see stories like this, I\u2019m reminded of my weakest part in all this<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m no scientist. So I have to take the \u2018science\u2019 at face value. \u00a0And yet the ones delivering it have come across, to me at least, as the car salesman trying to convince me that an oil spill the size of a wading pool under a car he\u2019s trying to sell me is supposed to be there. \u00a0And that\u2019s the problem. \u00a0It\u2019s no less a problem when folks like Pope Francis<\/a> seems to embrace the idea of Immaculate Scientists versus the Vast Oil Industry Conspiracy. \u00a0All of that simply causes me to be more skeptical, not less. <\/p>\n

For I have no idea how the future will be if the climate continues on its current course. \u00a0But I do know in history what happens when people are told that the True Ones have spoken, now shut up and obey! \u00a0The track record there is far worse than most things your most ardent MMCW advocate can possibly imagine. \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
