Pretty darn dumb<\/a>. \u00a0The media<\/a>, once the point guard for freedom of expression, now leads the way in exterminating art<\/a> and literature <\/a>that fails to conform to Leftist dogmas.
imposing thought control and censorship, of eradicating wrong-think and demanding conformity to indisputable doctrines.<\/p>\n

Growing up, we all remember when liberals were all about free your mind. \u00a0Freedom of expression. \u00a0Saint George Carlin. \u00a0If we say horrific things about America, Jesus, God, religion, whatever, and you\u2019re offended? \u00a0Why you\u2019re the problem. \u00a0And if you spend your time playing records backward to find hidden messages? \u00a0Then you\u2019re some wicked mixture of Archie Bunker stupidity and McCarthy styled censorship.<\/p>\n

Now who is spinning those records to find hidden messages? \u00a0Who is demanding that offensive art be removed, that offensive words be punished? \u00a0Growing up in the 70s, we were told that such things belonged to the totalitarian states of the 20th Century. \u00a0That\u2019s what the Nazis did. \u00a0That\u2019s what the Communists did. \u00a0They banned the books, tore down statues, changed city names, erased offensive and challenging words from documents. \u00a0And they always justified their evil by wrapping it up in self righteous causes. \u00a0Not so for liberalism\u2019s promise to America. \u00a0I remember in second grade, a young substitute teacher telling us that very thing. \u00a0No doubt a child of the liberal promise of the early 70s. <\/p>\n

And the greatest allies for this promise were the media, the entertainment industry, the educational system. \u00a0All of which, now, are the leading advocates for the very control of expression and eradication of wrong thought that they once so proudly resisted. \u00a0What allies for freedom are left we wonder?<\/p>\n
