Interesting. \u00a0Jackson\u2019s cinematic train wreck is, in my boys\u2019 opinion, his pay back to the Tolkien estate for not getting behind his first trilogy. \u00a0You think that was bad? \u00a0Ha! \u00a0Watch what I do to The Hobbit. It\u2019s a shame. \u00a0And as of now, the Rankin Bass version still stands, IMHO, as the best cinematic interpretation of Tolkien. \u00a0Not perfect, but none are. \u00a0Certainly not the mess that Jackson threw together based on Tolkien\u2019s delightful children\u2019s book. \u00a0Anyway, here is a link<\/a> to someone who went so far as edit out the bad parts, the really bad parts. \u00a0How much will be left once the bad parts are gone, of course, is a matter of fact. \u00a0How much should be left is a matter of opinion.\u00a0<\/div>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
