The man is a joy to read. \u00a0One of the most careful, thoughtful, and intelligent commentators from an authentic Catholic perspective that hasn\u2019t sold itself to the Leftist devil, or the worst elements of the secular Right. \u00a0He\u2019s not always easy, especially if you want to ignore wrong doing in favor of one side or another winning. \u00a0But he\u2019s almost always close to right. \u00a0If not spot on. \u00a0Here<\/a>\u00a0he gives a much better take on Ted Cruz\u2019s now infamous encounter at an ecumenical event a couple weeks ago. \u00a0Sadly, Mr. Douthat is a piccolo in a chorus of blaring trumpets<\/a>. \u00a0As wisdom and rational thought often are. <\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
