Here\u2019s something I\u2019ve noticed. \u00a0In addition to readership declining whenever I\u2019ve dropped off from blogging, I noticed I was going to other blogs with less frequency. \u00a0And you know what? \u00a0I\u2019ve been the happier for it. \u00a0Sure, I still visited a few, an atheist blog here, a Catholic one there. \u00a0But I\u2019ve not had time to comment, or when I did, it was the same old, same old. \u00a0Mostly people reacting in a way I can\u2019t imagine happening if we were all sitting in a pub, enjoying a nice draught of Guinness.<\/p>\n
Don\u2019t know what it means. \u00a0Just something I noticed. \u00a0Some years back, I felt the boys were watching too much TV. \u00a0After a round of discussions and protests, I just cut to the chase and yanked the TV chord for about a month. It was one of the happier months we\u2019ve ever had. \u00a0And while I haven\u2019t been \u2018blog-free\u2019, the less I\u2019ve read, the happier I\u2019ve been. \u00a0I certainly don\u2019t feel any less informed. \u00a0I have visited blogs, but they\u2019ve been either help blogs (gardening, home school), or they\u2019ve been interest blogs (Medieval, hobbies). \u00a0Even some of those I approach with caution, since they can use such things to ramrod modern society\u2019s religion down your through (the religion of my socio-political opinions). <\/p>\n
Again, don\u2019t know what it means. \u00a0It means I\u2019m having a hard time getting back to the blog, since I\u2019ve read few others, have cared less of what I\u2019ve read unless it was some clever insight on Medieval culture or help with gardening, and don\u2019t suddenly feel enraged and bothered and driven to throw out counter-opinions. \u00a0I\u2019ve certainly been happier, and can\u2019t help but wonder if following suite with others is doing anything for my happiness, or anyone else\u2019s. \u00a0I\u2019ll have to think on it. \u00a0Anyway, just something I\u2019ve been tossing about.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
