The post was the typical \u2018religion is stupid and\/or evil\u2019 narrative supporter. \u00a0In this case the atheists\u2019 favorite \u2018religion is obviously so wrong and dumb why do people\u00a0believe\u00a0it\u2019 assumption. \u00a0It was based on this cartoon:<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/div>\n

Wow, it\u2019s not like religious people haven\u2019t ever thought of that. \u00a0It isn\u2019t as if religious people haven\u2019t struggled to fathom the actual answer and its ramifications: that God is in fact outside of time and space, without end or beginning as we understand either.<\/p>\n

Yet the good atheist, trapped in a small box of narrow thinking of his own making, proudly displays this as the coup de grace<\/i> of theological debate. \u00a0Can any religious believer (in this as in most cases, the Christian) do anything but whither under\u00a0the\u00a0assault of this\u00a0awesome\u00a0breakthrough in atheist\u00a0apologetics?<\/p>\n

But note the assumption: God, like anything, is subject to the laws of the material universe, the only reality that atheists will allow in debate. \u00a0And then a reader posts this:<\/p>\n

Classic atheist error: Since atheism is obviously true, God must conform to the laws of a universe in which nothing can be God in order to be proven. One reason why falling into the trap of \u2018prove\u2019 God will get you nowhere with an atheist.<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

BAM! \u00a0Wonderful. \u00a0That was me giving a high five to the fellow. \u00a0I noticed that the\u00a0thread\u00a0not only came to a complete halt, but the only response was \u2018oh yeah, well, religious people aren\u2019t rational, yeah man, they\u00a0aren\u2019t\u2019 \u00a0Heh. \u00a0It was good, and it deftly exposed the great atheist fallacy: when they say \u2018prove God\u2019, what they mean is begin with the assumption that God doesn\u2019t exist, that all is matter, and that everything must be proven on that basis. \u00a0Now prove God.\u2019 \u00a0 I did this post just to copy the statement. \u00a0I will refer to it often\u00a0whenever\u00a0another atheist says \u2018you have to prove God.\u2019 \u00a0From now on, I\u2019ll respond only if they accept the existence of a non-material reality first. <\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
