I just thought I\u2019d throw that out since not one television news agency is bothering to cover it<\/a>. \u00a0I understand that some shows, even on 24\/7 cable, are prerecorded. \u00a0But still, you\u2019d think they could break in and at least mention it. \u00a0I know they are cable of that, since I\u2019ve seen different cable networks do just that over the years. \u00a0Or how about CSPAN. \u00a0Hello. \u00a0Anyone?<\/p>\n

I like Rand more than Ron. \u00a0Ron always struck me as a bit unstable, a sort of \u2018one flew over the cuckoo\u2019s nest\u2019 spark in his eye when anyone\u00a0questioned\u00a0him. \u00a0Not to mention his radical isolationism, America sucksf or fifty years perspective, and hyper\u00a0libertarianism\u00a0are not to my taste. \u00a0Of course Rand is similar, but I trust him more. \u00a0He seems more level headed and a little less inclined to declare himself the only one in Washington who isn\u2019t nuts. <\/p>\n

I\u00a0also\u00a0appreciate his cause. \u00a0Believe it or not, I\u2019m no fan of George W. Bush. \u00a0I never was. \u00a0I didn\u2019t support him in the 2000 primaries. \u00a0I was less than happy with him in 2004, especially when it\u00a0became\u00a0clear\u00a0he had no intention of following through with any of his lofty promises to religious conservatives. \u00a0Plus, he was just a lousy leader. \u00a0With that said, I\u2019m not a fan of Obama either. \u00a0He\u2019s everything that was wrong with Bush, plus the added benefit of now having a sympathetic media cheering him on.<\/p>\n

So when Bush was pushing warrantless wire tapping, to hear the media report it, we were on the edge of a new dark ages. \u00a0Now, we have a president arguing that it might be permissible for the president to kill American\u00a0citizens\u00a0on the mere suspicion that they might be terrorists. \u00a0And the media? \u00a0Crickets my friend,\u00a0chirping\u00a0crickets. \u00a0Like I say in other debates, it\u2019s not that the radical right doesn\u2019t have its loons. \u00a0Oklahoma City showed that. \u00a0Radical militias and people holed up in log cabins in Montana ready to shoot the local mailman show that. <\/p>\n

But show the same level of lunacy and radicalism on the left, and it\u2019s in the\u00a0newsrooms, \u00a0the college classrooms, the seats of power and influence and wealth and adoration. \u00a0They don\u2019t have to hole up in Montana. \u00a0They spew the same radicalism and are rewarded by the other venues of liberal thought. \u00a0So our president, buoyed by the progressive culture, is going places that Nixon never came close to going \u2013 and we ran him the hell out of town on two rails. <\/p>\n

So well done Mr. Paul for pointing out the\u00a0obvious. \u00a0You\u2019d make Jefferson Smith proud.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
