Over at Thomas\u2019s Discussions the question is asked: Where is the civility?<\/a>\u00a0Not that anyone should be under the illusion that politicians used to get along. \u00a0Tip O\u2019Neil dedicated himself to stopping Reagan at every possible point along the policy way. \u00a0The difference was, there was a legitimate respect and\u00a0appreciation\u00a0beyond the rancor, which is sadly missing today. I blame the media in some ways, but even then, I feel it reflects attitudes far too common across the American landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
