Well, just about anything these days<\/a>. \u00a0So the Patriarch of Antioch of the Syriacs is saying that the violence in Syria, and the slaughter we see on our televisions, is \u2013 you guessed it \u2013 because of America, as well as Europe, and also the Gulf States. \u00a0Who knows? \u00a0Maybe it is. \u00a0I don\u2019t know. \u00a0I don\u2019t reckon myself an expert in Syrian foreign relations. \u00a0I just notice the ease with which just about anyone can blame the US for almost anything today (and in some parts of the world, Europe gets lumped in as well). \u00a0I\u2019m reminded that, while America more or less is willing to admit America sucks and it\u2019s all our fault, most of the rest of the world is willing to chime in with the same viewpoint. \u00a0Catholics around the world, being products of their own cultural heritage, are no doubt willing to chime in as well. \u00a0For that matter, Catholics in America make some of the loudest clanging when it comes to criticizing the US. \u00a0Nothing much to comment on. \u00a0Just an\u00a0interesting\u00a0look on how easy it is for other countries to blame other countries, while in the US, the only segment left that dares suggest other countries could be the blame is the gradually shrinking American Right. <\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"What\u2019s America\u2019s fault? \u00a0Well, just about anything these days. \u00a0So the Patriarch of Antioch of the Syriacs is saying that the violence in Syria, and the slaughter we see on our televisions, is \u2013 you guessed it \u2013 because of America, as well as Europe, and also the Gulf States. \u00a0Who knows? \u00a0Maybe it is.
