Just a thought. \u00a0That\u2019s all. \u00a0I\u2019ve come to realize that the Catholic blogosphere is really the global Catholic\u00a0equivalent\u00a0of a\u00a0Protestant\u00a0Sunday School class. \u00a0That is, it\u2019s a\u00a0collection\u00a0of individuals, some with formal training, most without; some with some level of ministry experience, most without, who come together and try to work out the teachings of the Faith. \u00a0In Sunday School classes, one always had to remember that a great deal of\u00a0opinion\u00a0and personal preference went into those discussions. \u00a0The best folks were aware of that, and did their best to either admit where opinion ended and\u00a0Church\u00a0Teaching began, but sometimes the dividing lines weren\u2019t\u00a0always\u00a0so well defined. \u00a0That\u2019s not to say Sunday Schools weren\u2019t a wonderful way to grow in the Faith. \u00a0It is to say that caution was always called for, especially since in Protestant Churches, there was that\u00a0tendency to gravitate to a congregation or denomination that already shares your own\u00a0preconceived\u00a0notions (dare I say, biases?). \u00a0Catholic blogs, the same. \u00a0So just an off the cuff thought\u00a0tonight\u00a0 while we\u2019re awaiting our young\u00a0thespian\u2019s\u00a0triumphal return from their final\u00a0performance\u00a0 \u00a0No link. \u00a0No article. \u00a0Just something that dawned on me as I perused the post-election commentary across the Catholic blogosphere.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
