Looks like Arabic will be added to the list of languages used during Papal audiences<\/a>. \u00a0Eh. \u00a0Sounds fine to me. \u00a0There are plenty of Christians in Arabic lands, and it\u00a0doesn\u2019t\u00a0hurt to get the message out to Arabic speaking Muslims. \u00a0On the other hand, it\u2019s not hard to see that the Vatican has been spending massive amounts of energy reaching out to Muslims, and sometimes being far less harsh in its\u00a0condemnation\u00a0of Islamic acts than its rather harsh and immediate smack downs of America or\u00a0Israel\u00a0in similar situations. \u00a0 Not that the Vatican hasn\u2019t gotten on Muslims when it comes to Christians, especially Catholics, being killed. \u00a0But on the whole, there is obviously a much greater emphasis on outreach and measured responses to the Arabic and Islamic worlds than to, say, traditional Western domains. \u00a0Why? \u00a0Hard to say. \u00a0But it\u2019s hard to miss as well.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
