<\/a><\/div>\nTo my wonderful 8th grader! \u00a0Woohoo! \u00a0What a year. \u00a0No, he didn\u2019t beat his older brother\u2019s best time in 8th grade, but then his older brother took part in sports all the way into middle school. \u00a0Our intrepid 8th grader had\u00a0pretty\u00a0much sat out on sports until last year, so he had quite a lot of catching up to do. \u00a0Shaving a whopping 14 minutes off his original time for a 2 mile race, he finished the year\u00a0achieving\u00a0all of his goals but one, and that will be put to the test next year when he runs on the same team as his older sibling. \u00a0It should be an\u00a0interesting\u00a0rivalry. \u00a0Our oldest has experience and an overall longer history of sports involvement. \u00a0On the other hand, he does not like invitationals, and that is all our high school Cross Country team ever competes in. \u00a0Our little champion here, seems to warm up to the mixing and\u00a0mayhem\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0massed invitational. \u00a0So we\u2019ll see. \u00a0As it is, congrats on finishing the season out with a major bang!<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
