All of this shows that we live in an age that doesn\u2019t spend much time in deep thought. \u00a0Love God, hate God, reject God or believe, but \u2018no\u00a0affiliation\u00a0? \u00a0Can there be anything less convincing? \u00a0Is there anything that screams \u2018I haven\u2019t given any thought to the question\u2019 more than that? \u00a0If atheists consider this a victory, it confirms my\u00a0suspicions\u00a0that, after centuries of hoping and failing to disprove God,\u00a0atheists\u00a0now are counting on a lack of education and a lack of profound thinking on the subject in order to advance the cause.<\/p>\n

Despite\u00a0the sad display of intellectual laziness, as could be predicted,\u00a0 over at the Friendly Atheist<\/a>\u00a0caviar and Champagne are being passed around as the resident atheists consider this a coup of historic\u00a0proportions\u00a0 \u00a0Declaring that we will someday go along the same enlightened path as dying Europe, Russia, or China, they seem to think this is proof that atheism is on the rise. \u00a0What it is proof of is that in our wiki-generation, we are an age given to less thinking about profound\u00a0subjects\u00a0than your average Medieval peasant ever would have imagined. <\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
