To me there was not a clear winner. \u00a0Now, that\u2019s usually press-talk for The Republican Won. \u00a0In all my years, I can\u2019t recall the national press ever \u2013 Ever \u2013 declaring a GOP candidate the winner of the debate, at least not at the time of the debate itself. \u00a0Usually either the Democrat clearly wins, or it is a draw. \u00a0But that was then, when the media had to veil its obvious bias and at least pretend it was objective.<\/p>\n
Today, the media is almost flagrant that it is nothing other than the national committee to reelect Obama. \u00a0It\u2019s coverage, or non-coverage, of the international Islamic riots crisis of the last couple weeks should show that. While people were dying and Americans were killed, the media time and again chose to focus on what? \u00a0Why, this Romney gaffe or that Romney gaffe. \u00a0As far as the media is concerned, all is well, there are no real problems, everything is getting better, Obama has six pack abs, and his wife is hot in the latest dress. \u00a0That\u2019s all we need to know.<\/p>\n
So while there were no clear winners tonight, it\u2019s also obvious that Romney looked far better than most expected, and Obama looked far worse than many imagined. \u00a0To me, Obama looked about like he always looks. \u00a0I don\u2019t buy into the enforced narrative that Obama is the greatest public speaker since Jesus. \u00a0He gives good\u00a0speeches\u00a0 when he has a teleprompter and the wind is at his back. \u00a0But take away the script, put him under pressure, act as if we might actually be expecting something of him, and he usually looks about like he did tonight.<\/p>\n
So it will be interesting to see. \u00a0Will the MSM give the usual no real winners spin? \u00a0That would be most credible, as it isn\u2019t like Romney nailed one out of the park or anything. \u00a0That would be the safe way to go, since it\u2019s clear to anyone whose head isn\u2019t up their wazoo that no matter what, Obama was\u00a0clearly\u00a0not the winner. \u00a0Or will they throw the last stitch of credibility out the window and proclaim Obama the winner? \u00a0We\u2019ll have to wait and see. \u00a0I\u2019ve learned never to\u00a0underestimate\u00a0the media\u2019s reliance on modern America\u2019s\u00a0partisanship,\u00a0 apathy, and intellectual laziness. <\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
