After initially following the same trend as others who chose to condemn free speech in the wake of the riots around the Muslim world, the Vatican spokesman\u00a0<\/span>Father Federico Lombardi decided it was time to turn attention to the slaughter of innocent people.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Nice to see, but a day late and a dollar short. Again, that love\/hate relationship that the global Catholic Church has with the US has been on display, as the<\/span><\/span> initial reactions from many sources<\/a> took the low road of condemning people for insulting the religion of peace, less its advocates shoot more nuns. \u00a0Now, since any person with more than a brain cell can see that these riots are about issues well beyond any film produced by an Egyptian Coptic Christian, it appears that some are\u00a0<\/span><\/span>backtracking<\/span>\u00a0and actually focusing on the multiple deaths and murders that have happened in the last several days. \u00a0<\/span><\/span>
