Well, not really.\u00a0 It\u2019s been progressing for quite<\/a> some<\/a> time<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0But so far, the argument from the pro-gay movement has been that\u00a0they would never, ever think of forcing actual churches to compromise their beliefs about homosexuality.\u00a0 In fairness, as this story makes clear<\/a>, the Hutchinson City Council is not mandating that churches perform the actual ceremonies.\u00a0 That would be too flagrant.\u00a0 Rather, they are simply demanding that churches\u00a0open up their facilities to gay marriages and receptions.\u00a0 This is strange, because as a former pastor, we didn\u2019t have to open our church up for anyone.\u00a0 We had the right to say no for a host of reasons.\u00a0 Oh, we never did that I am aware of.\u00a0 Usually, our facilities were used by those wanting to get married in our church in a service performed\u00a0by me anyway.\u00a0 But it could have happened.\u00a0 So once again, we see that slow, steady creep (though gaining steam to be sure) of the post-modern progressives yearning for a day when it is really no longer legal to be non-progressive.
