Yep, figured I would jump on the hype.\u00a0 The clip is in the article<\/a>.\u00a0 As I\u2019ve said many times, I\u2019m OK with\u00a0Jackson\u2019s LoTR films, but that\u2019s all.\u00a0 They were no better than other attempts to bring Tolkien to the screen.\u00a0 Most of the time they weren\u2019t worse.\u00a0 Though Rankin\/Bass\u2019s animated \u201cThe Hobbit\u201d is more faithful to the source material than the various LoTR adaptations, so we\u2019ll have to see how this new version holds up in comparison.\u00a0 So far, there\u2019s enough add on that I can\u2019t help but fear we\u2019ll see more surfing elves, elf warrior princesses, and orc butt kicking rangers where deep philosophical and moral reflections should be.\u00a0 The Hobbit is a simpler book, of course, aimed at children.\u00a0 Maybe this will feel more at home.\u00a0 Anyway, here it is.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
