Don\u2019t get me wrong, I respect Kurt Warner, the overtly religious NFL player who stood against anti-religious PC goodthink and openly gave praise to Jesus following his 2000 Superbowl victory.\u00a0 But now he\u2019s coming out and standing hand in hand with our Big Politically Correct Brother and suggesting Tim Tebow embrace the Glorious Censorship<\/a>.\u00a0 F-Bombs and bathroom humor are what the Founding Fathers meant, after all.\u00a0 They certainly didn\u2019t expect a country where folks thought they could openly express their religious beliefs. <\/p>\n

But the part that got me was this line: <\/p>\n

\u201cI know what he\u2019s going through,\u201d Warner told the Republic, \u201cand I know what he wants to accomplish, but I don\u2019t want anybody to become calloused toward Tim because they don\u2019t understand him, or are not fully aware of who he is. And you\u2019re starting to see that a little bit.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Starting to see it?\u00a0 A little bit? What planet has he been living on for the last year?\u00a0 For those who don\u2019t know, Tim Tebow was the darling of College Sports while he played his way to the Heisman Trophy.\u00a0 All you heard was one giant chorus of praise and adoration from sports fans and the generally hedonism-friendly sports media.\u00a0 That is, of course, until his infamous decision to blaspheme the Dogmas of Liberal Diversity by appearing with his mom in a Pro-Life Superbowl Commercial. <\/p>\n

From that point, it got ugly.\u00a0 Tebow became an outcast, the sports media began\u00a0emphasizing the criticisms that had been brushed away by so many.\u00a0 Suddenly, Tebow was an overrated no-talent religious hack who would get what he had coming to him when he went pro and showed the world just how lousy he was.\u00a0 That was then.\u00a0 Now that he has led the Broncos to a 5-1, critics are having a hard time trashing his talents.\u00a0 Grumbling and pissed, they can only grasp for straws and hope that Tebow implodes sometime in the near future. <\/p>\n

And it\u2019s into this that Warner, who now works for the NFL Network it should be noted, comes out and suggests Tebow put some tape over his mouth when it comes to bearing witness to his faith?\u00a0 Hmmmm.\u00a0 Call me skeptical, and maybe Warner is doing it for the best reasons, but I can\u2019t see why now is the time to step up to the pulpit of modern intolerance and pitch one for the arm of the media most concerned with bust lines and beer bellies.\u00a0 After all,\u00a0no matter why he did it, the reason for such outcry is still\u00a0the\u00a0result of an anti-religious and anti-Christian popular culture where Moloch and Mammon are worshipped and glorified, and they will suffer no challengers.\u00a0 If I were Tebow, I would thank the excellent Warner for his advice, and then continue being the rebel and the counter-cultural icon that he has become.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
