I was made aware that this was on Youtube.\u00a0 Amazing what you find there.\u00a0 This was an actual TV special back in the early 1970s.\u00a0 Nothing like the Citizen Kane of Christmas specials<\/a>, it still brings back some memories of Thanksgivings long ago.\u00a0 The thing I notice here?\u00a0 He mentions the American Indians and<\/em> the Pilgrims in a positive light.\u00a0 And then, and then, he actually recounts the religious focus of the first Thanksgiving and he recites a real prayer to God.\u00a0\u00a0 It\u2019s like some alternate fantasy world today.\u00a0 Shows how things have changed.\u00a0 But since our country is so much better than we ever were with all that pilgrims and God stuff, who am I to question progress?\u00a0 See you next week!<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
