Rev. Dr. Billy Graham is in the hospital<\/a>.\u00a0 Apparently he is being kept because of pneumonia.\u00a0 There have been few leaders as respected by his own generation as Dr. Graham.\u00a0 Today, in our \u2018I hate all religious people since I\u2019m so tolerant\u2019 age, there are those who simply hate him for hate\u2019s sake.\u00a0 I noticed on the Huffpost, multiple entries were deleted for violating Huffpost policy.\u00a0 Given the contempt and snide comments and outright bad taste flip offs of those they left on, it makes the blood run cold to think of what the ones that were censored said.\u00a0 But that\u2019s the post-modern Left for you.\u00a0 <\/p>\nFor the rest of decent humanity, this is a time to pray and reflect on the life of a truly magnificent individual.\u00a0 He was the closest thing to a pope that Protestants had, a rallying point that they could look to.\u00a0 Not without controversy, and never calling himself perfect, Dr. Graham. was nevertheless able to plot a course in our rather brutal and unforgiving media world that\u00a0allowed him to receive the much deserved respect of people around the world; not just Protestants, but Catholics, Orthodox, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, agnostics, atheists, and just about everyone possessing a heart and soul.\u00a0 They may not have liked him, or agreed with him.\u00a0 But just as I admitted in college, self-proclaimed agnostic liberal that I was,\u00a0he believed in what he did, and in our post-modern world, that alone was worthy of respect. <\/p>\n
God bless Dr. Graham, may those ministering to him do so with wisdom and care, and may God bless him for his years of service, and help all of us prepare for the inevitable moment that all mortals must face.\u00a0 In Christ\u2019s name, Amen.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
