Hurray<\/a>!\u00a0 Another bout of justice in that strange, weird world that is the Catholic Faith.\u00a0 For 2000 years, the Catholic Church has been a beacon and a shadow at the same time.\u00a0 It is no different today.\u00a0 The problems within a Church with over a billion members and a 2000 year accumulation of skeletons has to be legion.\u00a0 The fact that a \u2018Catholic\u2019 university would ruthlessly pursue individuals who stood up for Catholic teaching regarding the unborn against that university\u2019s dismissal of the same, just shows the problems.\u00a0 But then, as I say, the troubles aren\u2019t new.\u00a0 When someone confronts me about my conversion and asks if I realize how long the scandal has been going on, I reply yeah, I know.\u00a0 It\u2019s been going on for about 2000 years.\u00a0 Just read the New Testament if you want to see such problems in the Church.\u00a0 It\u2019s what happens when you have the Body of Christ in a fallen world filled with sinners who happen to have been made in the image of God.\u00a0 Anything can happen, and it always does.\u00a0 Which is why I try to be gracious toward those other things like America, democracy, and capitalism when it comes to pointing out their flaws.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Hurray!\u00a0 Another bout of justice in that strange, weird world that is the Catholic Faith.\u00a0 For 2000 years, the Catholic Church has been a beacon and a shadow at the same time.\u00a0 It is no different today.\u00a0 The problems within a Church with over a billion members and a 2000 year accumulation of skeletons has […]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2805,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-3362","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized"],"yoast_head":"\n
