But it was not to be.\u00a0 As sure as I knew it would, a group has come out protesting our use of the name Geronimo<\/a>.\u00a0 Yep.\u00a0\u00a0All upset because his name was used for Bin Laden.\u00a0 Now, as stupid as this is, it shows the fact that we seldom learn from past mistakes.\u00a0 The fact that American Indians still enjoy a sort of blank check when it comes to writing their own history is why this is the case.\u00a0 After all, if the code name had been Pope Pius XII, would the same ones protesting now protest at all?\u00a0 Probably not.\u00a0 Oh sure, some others might\u00a0 protest.\u00a0 But that\u2019s the problem.\u00a0 It\u2019s not a case of \u2018there is a higher principle here that was violated.\u2019\u00a0 It\u2019s a case of \u2018that bothers me, ME, and I don\u2019t care what you do to anyone else, just don\u2019t do it to me!\u2019 standard of post-modern attitudes.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
