We just ban it for our own safety.\u00a0 Read this article.<\/a>\u00a0 Does anyone notice anything?\u00a0 The story appears to be about a Tea Party event canceled at a Mansfield, Ohio high school.\u00a0 Why?\u00a0\u00a0 Because a speaker is labeled anti-Islamic.\u00a0 The proof?\u00a0 Because he is founder of a Christian ministry<\/a> that seeks to \u2013 gasp\u00a0\u2013 convert Muslims to Christianity.\u00a0 He even\u00a0contends that Islam is a violent religion. There you go.\u00a0 Of course we are later reassured that the event has not been canceled because of the content of the speaker\u2019s talk \u2013 despite the headline.\u00a0 Rather, it\u2019s because of fears for the safety of students.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

But why?\u00a0 Apparently, those who said they were not planning the protests that the school feared wanted the talks pulled.\u00a0 Said Julia\u00a0Shearson, director of the local NAACP branch, \u201cWe believe in the right to free speech.\u00a0We are thankful for the district\u2019s decision and that a message of hate will not be promoted in this district where there are Muslim children.\u201d\u00a0 So there you go, they support the right to free speech so they are thankful the school censored a group and kept it from speaking things they didn\u2019t like.\u00a0 After all, speaking against Islam could lead to violence against Muslim students.\u00a0 While I guess speaking against Christianity in school lessons or\u00a0secular groups in high schools could lead to violence against Christians and other religious believers? \u00a0Is it just me, or are there others out there that realize our freedoms, liberties, and equalities are going down the toilet tubes faster than we can blink?\u00a0 <\/p>\n

Now, for the bonus question.\u00a0 Could someone tell me why Usama Dakdok is all about hate for saying Islam\u00a0teaches a violent doctrine, and the NAACP isn\u2019t all about hate for defining his message as hate?\u00a0\u00a0By what authority do they make such a dogmatic claim about an absolute value judgement?<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
