So I caught a brief glimpse of Joy Behar\u2019s show the other night<\/a>.\u00a0 I know.\u00a0 She is part of \u2018stupidity row\u2019 among the Left.\u00a0 That is, those individuals who repeatedly say things so moronic that if Glenn Beck said anything half as dumb, the MSM would be on them like white on rice.\u00a0 But being Leftists, folks like Behar, Bill Maher, Tavis Smiley, Keith Olbermann, and Ed Schultz are free to wax stupid all day an little is said about it.\u00a0 That\u2019s why I usually move on when I see their group think faces on the tube.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

But I caught this part because the caption\u00a0on the screen\u00a0mentioned Corporal Punishment<\/em>.\u00a0 Oh no!\u00a0 Not spanking!\u00a0 Yeah, spanking in our schools.\u00a0 Now personally, I don\u2019t spank my kids if at all possible.\u00a0 I\u2019ve probably spanked the lot of them a half dozen times in their entire lives.\u00a0 So far, they seem fine.\u00a0 No desire to hijack planes and fly them into skyscrapers, despite what all the lab coats say.\u00a0 And having been spanked myself, I find the urge to grab assault rifles and open fire on crowded marketplaces oddly foreign to my way of thinking. On a side note, spanking is one of those issues that, to me, displays the utter ridiculousness of our obsession with research and studies.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

Anyhoo, so she has a fellow on there wanting to wage holy war against spanking in our schools.\u00a0 This is because we can see our schools are much better off since they started to end spanking decades ago.\u00a0 Goodness knows when I think of resounding success, I think of our school system over the last couple decades.\u00a0 So I watch.\u00a0 And listen.\u00a0 And despite my wife\u2019s objections that this could lead to permanent brain freeze, I watch some more.\u00a0 And lo and behold!\u00a0 Who is this sage scholar who has devoted himself to the cause?\u00a0 Why none other than\u00a0\u2018leading fashion designer\u2019 Marc Ecko<\/a>.\u00a0 Yep, you read that right. <\/p>\n

It was funny, but does demonstrate again how the silly notions of liberalism that were peddled by the Left have all but been abandoned.\u00a0 Think there is no real absolute truth?\u00a0 No absolute values?\u00a0 No belief system that has a right to impose itself on others?\u00a0 Well, you wouldn\u2019t have guessed it watching that show.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
