So yesterday the President addressed the latest issue<\/a> by which our post-modern world yearns to control more of our lives.\u00a0 Was it the crisis in the Middle East?\u00a0 Our staggering economy?\u00a0 The increased pressure by China on our military?\u00a0 Continued unemployment?\u00a0 No. Heck no.\u00a0 He addressed bullying. <\/p>\n

I know, I don\u2019t like bullying any more than anyone else.\u00a0 The fact that we have kids committing suicide in growing numbers, however, probably speaks more for the vacant and rotted culture we have given them than anything to do directly with bullying.\u00a0 Is it worse than it used to be?\u00a0 Of course.\u00a0 What in our culture isn\u2019t worse than it used to be?\u00a0 That\u2019s what you get when you throw out the basic foundation for our notions of the dignity of life, the human person, and our role in God\u2019s creation, and replaced it with a debauched society that values narcissism lived out through decadent hedonism and greed above all other considerations.<\/p>\n

Still, is it really something the President of the United States needs to weigh in on?\u00a0 You\u2019re darn right.\u00a0 After all, one of the oft repeated lines in the bullying debate is the line \u2018and making fun of others.\u2019\u00a0 And what, pray tell, do they intend to do about kids who want to voice their opinions about others?\u00a0 Control the kids\u2019 speech?\u00a0 Tell them what to think?\u00a0 Make them devotees of the dogmas of Leftist conformity?\u00a0 Yeah.\u00a0 That\u2019s my guess. Hence the need for the big guns in this important grab for thought control disguised as concern for our children.\u00a0 Which is why it truly is more important than all of those other temporary set-backs.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
