Got this link<\/a> to a little CNN.com overview of the attack in my emails.\u00a0 I always get a kick out of the general \u2018let\u2019s be reasonable and look at all sides\u2019 approach we give to everything except: Slavery, desegregation, the Holocaust, and Nazi Germany in general. In recent years we\u2019ve tried to add the Atomic bombs and our treatment of the\u00a0American Indians to the \u2018case closed, no further discussion\u2019 departments.\u00a0Everything else, including Japan\u2019s imperialism and reign of unbridled terror, is met with \u2018it\u2019s easy to see it from their point of view if you try.\u2019\u00a0 Anyway, interesting slide show of photos and images from that day.\u00a0 One was especially interesting, showing women firefighters fighting the flames.\u00a0 That\u2019s right, women firefighters.\u00a0\u00a0 Don\u2019t know if they were regulars, just women called on to help, or what.\u00a0 It would be interesting to find out.\u00a0 Most of what we think we know of history makes file labels look comprehensive.\u00a0 It sure wouldn\u2019t be the image we are used to seeing as we look back with scorn on our sexist past.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
