Is looked at here<\/a>. \u00a0I haven\u2019t put much thought into the goings on in France. \u00a0Like most European countries, France is secular, liberal and generally free. \u00a0But like most European countries, that sense of freedom is a little different than the open ended, anything and everything freedom that the U.S. possesses. \u00a0Even when people talk about doing something like this in America, it\u2019s outrage from shore to shore. \u00a0It actually happened in France. \u00a0Of course they backed off, because the French are coming to realize that Muslims \u00a0are not going to compromise their faith to fit into French secular culture the way Christians have compromised.<\/p>\n

Western liberalism hasn\u2019t really come to terms yet with Islam. \u00a0Right now, it\u2019s more concerned with maintaining its basic mantra that the Christian West is the primary source of evil and oppression in the world. \u00a0That puts liberalism\u00a0in the spot of being\u00a0here to save the day and put those Western Christians in their place. \u00a0The rest of the world is made up of those sad oppressed minorities just itching to be delivered and, in turn, embrace the ideals of Western liberalism.<\/p>\n

Since 9\/11, maintaining\u00a0that narrative in the face of endless developments across the Islamic world hasn\u2019t been easy. \u00a0At times, it\u2019s verged on the ludicrous<\/a>. \u00a0But perhaps nothing else more than this story shows that while most Muslims don\u2019t want terrorism and carnage, that doesn\u2019t mean they want secularized, Western liberalism either. \u00a0Sooner or later, our progressive brothers and sisters are going to have to admit to that fact.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
