For those who watch FOX News, you\u2019re probably aware that in addition to the Trump implosion, Wikileaks has released a steady stream of emails from the Clinton camp<\/a>. \u00a0I\u2019m no fan of this whole Wikileaks thing, I\u2019ll admit. \u00a0But if we waited for the media to do something like, you know, infiltrate the Democratic ticket to expose negative findings, we\u2019ll be waiting a long time. \u00a0In fact, you get bonus points if you notice that all of these negative revelations about the Clinton camp have come from Wikileaks (and some say Russia), while the revelations against\u00a0Trump have come from media outlets and journalists who suddenly accessed their archives. \u00a0No doubt a cosmic coincidence<\/p>\n

Anyway, as I said<\/a>, I don\u2019t see these as \u2018 anti-Catholic<\/a>.\u2019 \u00a0I see them as the typical disdain that many on the Left have for the things that many on the Left typically disdain. \u00a0 In this case, traditional Christian beliefs and values. \u00a0It\u2019s not scorning Catholics in general, as the liberal love affair with Pope Francis (who many perceive as being a stealth liberal), or such public Catholics as Biden or Colbert demonstrates.<\/p>\n

The same contempt or disdain or dismissive attitudes can be aimed at anyone or group that runs afoul of the Left. \u00a0Just ask Herman Cain, Condoleezza\u00a0Rice, Clarence Thomas, Sarah Palin, Joe Lieberman, Michele Bachmann, and anyone else who gets in the way of the Left. \u00a0Conversely\u00a0those who are icons of the Left, or who advance the cause of the Left, might get an occasional wrist slap, but not much more.<\/p>\n

Hence the lack of traction accusers of Bill Clinton\u00a0had\u00a0in the 90s versus the almost lauded state that the\u00a0accusers of Trump are enjoying today. \u00a0Or the fact that the Washington Post called\u00a0the diatribe against non-liberal people of faith as \u2018joking.\u2019 \u00a0Show me the words in the email that suggest it\u2019s joking. \u00a0Ask if labeling it as mere joking would stop the firestorm if the same was said by conservatives about Blacks or Muslims.<\/p>\n

Remember, as we watch old time liberalism morph into the modern Left, we\u2019re starting to learn that all of those things liberals said were right or wrong years ago don\u2019t amount to a hill of beans. \u00a0They might be right. \u00a0They might be wrong. \u00a0But increasingly it\u2019s really all about where you stand when it comes to the great question of the Age: Are you a liberal yes or no. \u00a0If the answer is yes, then short of video taped murder, it\u2019s unlikely you will do much that will hinder you, and you\u2019ll be quite protected. \u00a0If the answer is no, then just ask non-liberal Catholics, Jews, Blacks, women, and anyone else where those lofty standards are. \u00a0It\u2019s not a question of bigotry, hate and prejudice. \u00a0It\u2019s a question of who those things are aimed at. \u00a0The Church is not the target. \u00a0Like anyone and anything, it\u2019s those who fail to convert and conform\u00a0to the progressive world view\u00a0who are in the cross hairs.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
