This piece<\/a> pretty much reflects my views about the election. \u00a0Yay, she lost! \u00a0Oh no, he won. \u00a0 \u00a0I have to hope, of course. \u00a0And there might be some ground for hope. \u00a0Hope that Trump doesn\u2019t turn on the worst of his campaign, and hope that Trump\u2019s opponents learn their lesson. \u00a0Basically, the gist of my thinking was best seen at the end of\u00a0the piece:<\/p>\n

\u201ca lot of what was being reacted against ought to be taken seriously, from the plight of those left behind to the plague of political correctness and its corrosive impact on democracy.
