Really<\/a>? \u00a0 Uh huh. \u00a0How many people actually believed these things? \u00a0For my part, I don\u2019t know that she did anything that was actually illegal. \u00a0That she demonstrated gross negligence and incompetence, and that she presided over some\u00a0disastrous results of her department\u2019s policies and practices is, to my eyes, more than enough. \u00a0I\u2019m not into this modern \u2018buck never got here\u2019 approach to responsibility. \u00a0 When Eisenhower drafted a possible response to the D-Day invasion on the chance that it failed*, it didn\u2019t involve anything close to \u2018I was just in charge, it isn\u2019t my fault.\u2019 \u00a0Reminding people that if you deserve credit for things when they go well, you deserve blame when they don\u2019t, would be a nice lesson across the board.<\/p>\n

Nonetheless, Trump\u2019s boast that Hillary would be sent to the big house to make big rocks into little rocks couldn\u2019t have been taken seriously. \u00a0And I\u2019m sure this isn\u2019t the first big boast of Trump\u2019s that we\u2019ll see dropped into the circular file. \u00a0Exactly which ones will remain to be seen, but I\u2019m betting there will be more than one.<\/p>\n
