The best move is to nominate a billionaire with personal ties to Russia to allay those fears<\/a>. \u00a0Ah, Trump. \u00a0As I said, I resolve to never, ever \u2013 and I mean never \u2013 underestimate Trump again. \u00a0I bought into the \u2018buffoon with goofy hair\u2019 narrative along with most Americans. \u00a0Now he\u2019s my president. \u00a0And I wish him well, as I did Obama in 2008. \u00a0I want him to succeed where it helps America and Americans. \u00a0I don\u2019t say that, by the way, followed by 24\/7 Trash Trump fests. \u00a0That makes any words I say about wishing him well seem rather shallow IMHO.<\/p>\n

Of course there will be things I oppose. \u00a0There are certainly things he says and does that concern me. \u00a0Who knows? \u00a0His opponents might actually learn how to oppose him. \u00a0Right now, I\u2019m not holding my breath.<\/p>\n

I realize that there could be more to this nomination than meets the eye. \u00a0And I\u2019m the last one to say we don\u2019t need to make major changes in our approach to Russia if we don\u2019t want things to continue spiraling\u00a0downhill. \u00a0Clearly, however, Trump isn\u2019t worried about appearances. \u00a0And while appearances are subjective to be sure, sometimes they are important.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a reason most people don\u2019t want The Dude representing the US at the United Nations. \u00a0Perhaps the same logic would go for picking a person with deep, personally advantageous\u00a0ties to the country that is all of a sudden important again, and increasingly seen as a threat to our nation.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
