Jonah Goldberg explains<\/a>. \u00a0There are many reasons for cheering because the\u00a0Left got a bloody nose this year. \u00a0After all, as I have argued incessantly, most of what the Left screamed at Trump for doing and saying has been done and said by different people on the Left for decades. \u00a0At least in some manner or another.<\/p>\nNonetheless, this does not take away the concerns about Trump. \u00a0It does not take away from the fact that much of what Trump does and says are the things that conservatives\u00a0have criticized the Left for doing and saying for decades.<\/p>\n
True, the Left deserved a swat in the nose with a rolled up newspaper. \u00a0If those to the left of center have any sense, they\u2019ll stop the fussing and crying and acting like children. \u00a0They\u2019ll look in the mirror, and say, \u2018Gee, maybe we need to learn something about where we\u2019ve been going these last years.\u2019 \u00a0We\u2019ll see.<\/p>\n
But in the meantime, this doesn\u2019t mean Trump should be given a blank check. \u00a0Those who figure if Trump embraces\u00a0Communism, then they\u2019re\u2019 all behind him because Trump!, will be no better than the ones they fought against for decades. \u00a0Some might argue they will be worse.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
