  1. Never, ever underestimate Donald Trump<\/li>\n
  2. Arrogance is a bad strategy<\/li>\n
  3. Insulting millions of registered voters is not the best response to a candidate who insults millions of non-voters<\/li>\n
  4. Bipartisanship is not accomplished by blaming everyone else<\/li>\n
  5. There is a fine line between journalism and propaganda<\/li>\n
  6. Pretending that problems don\u2019t exist won\u2019t convince those who are suffering as a result of those problems<\/li>\n
  7. If you pop champagne corks because experts assure you that no matter what, your side will win by the Electoral College, then don\u2019t cry about how unfair it is when your side loses by the Electoral College. It\u2019s unbecoming.<\/li>\n
  8. Surrounding yourself with yes-men doesn\u2019t help<\/li>\n
  9. A nation has a right to demand higher standards from its president, it has no right to demand different standards<\/li>\n
  10. If the latest scientific conclusions are always what I want to hear, someone\u2019s doing something wrong<\/li>\n
  11. \u2018Do unto others as long as you don\u2019t do unto me\u2019 is not the Golden Rule<\/li>\n
  12. Expediency does not lend itself to moral outrage<\/li>\n
  13. Truth is not based on a majority<\/li>\n
  14. Working with people involves working with people, not saying you\u2019re working with people<\/li>\n
  15. When everything is going for you, it\u2019s still not wise to overplay your hand<\/li>\n
  16. If you cry wolf too many times for too many years, people won\u2019t listen even when they admit they see a wolf<\/li>\n
  17. People don\u2019t always align with partisan assumptions<\/li>\n
  18. People pay attention, even when you don\u2019t want them to<\/li>\n
  19. If education is just a means to an end, it\u2019s probably not the best education<\/li>\n
  20. The problem with saying \u2018That idiot\u2019s mean because he called me stupid\u2019 should be obvious<\/li>\n
  21. It\u2019s pointless to ignore the past in the Internet age<\/li>\n
  22. Bigotry is like body odor: We tend to recognize it in others long before we recognize it in ourselves<\/li>\n
  23. Intelligence and common sense are not the same thing<\/li>\n
  24. Demanding conformity to diversity is counterproductive<\/li>\n
  25. Don\u2019t believe punditry, even if it\u2019s yours<\/li>\n
  26. Polls aren\u2019t all they\u2019re cracked up to be<\/li>\n
  27. If we want politicians to be honest, then don\u2019t attack them when they are<\/li>\n
  28. Making promises is easier than keeping promises<\/li>\n
  29. History is easy when you don\u2019t sweat the details<\/li>\n
