Apparently Mexico isn\u2019t going to pay for a border wall, at least according to former Mexican President Vicente Fox<\/a>. \u00a0And he\u2019s not alone. \u00a0In fact, \u00a0you could be forgiven for thinking that us taxpayers might end up paying for the wall<\/a>. \u00a0Which is different from the promise that we\u2019ll build a wall, US taxpayers won\u2019t pay, and Mexico will.<\/p>\n

Of course it was a stupid promise. \u00a0I\u2019ve been wrong about Trump before, but I find it absurd\u00a0to think we could make Mexico do anything of the sort. \u00a0That so many cheered and sang Trump carols whenever he made the promise,\u00a0went a long way toward affirming the Trump Supporter Stereotypes.<\/p>\n

For my part, if a president says we will have self-sustaining moon colonies in four years, it might be worth the\u00a0effort to look at how well we\u2019re doing with self-sustaining colonies in Antarctica, or under the sea. \u00a0Likewise, before I believe we\u2019ll build a wall and send the bill south, perhaps looking at what other\u00a0massive building projects we\u2019ve forced other countries to pay for in recent years might have been in order.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
