The US House voted to ban federal funding for abortion<\/a>. \u00a0Whatever your opinion on abortion, you pay for it. \u00a0If\u2019 I\u2019m not allowed to have say in\u00a0your sex life, then you pay for its upkeep. \u00a0Same goes for contraception. \u00a0With freedom comes responsibility. \u00a0Not free to do whatever I want, and\u00a0everyone else has to pay if things go south.<\/p>\n

Sure, we\u00a0need to be there to help. \u00a0As I say about skating on thin ice: If you insist on doing so and fall through the ice, we\u2019re there to help. \u00a0But I don\u2019t need to buy your skates for you.<\/p>\n

Incidentally, by \u2018US House\u2019, it really means \u2018House Republicans\u2019. \u00a0 And let\u2019s be real. \u00a0Something like this will likely\u00a0be DOA in the Senate. \u00a0The Senate, which defines \u2018career politician\u2019, kills more progress in any direction from any side of the aisle than any other part of our government. \u00a0So it\u2019s likely symbolic as much as anything. \u00a0But I\u2019ll take symbolism for life over the alternative any day of the week.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
